Our Curriculum
Our school's curriculum has been designed to encompass a set of basic pinciples and it aims to be:
BROAD - the curriculum introduces children to a wide range of knowledge, skills and understanding
BALANCED - each element of the curriculum is allocated sufficient time relevant to each child's age and expertise.
RELEVANT - curriculum subjects are taught in such a way to enrich children's lives and experiences both now and in the future.
MEMORABLE - the curriculum provides memorable experiences and rich opportunities for high quality learning and wider personal development and well being.
DIFFERENTIATED - subjects are taught in a way that matches each child's individual needs and aptitudes.
We teach the curriculum content through a mini-adventure (integrated and thematic) approach. It is underpinned by the subjects of the National Curriculum and designed to maximise the links between subject skills and knowledge in an interesting and meaningful way.
We teach:
English - Maths - Computing - Science
History - Geography - Art - Music - Design Technology
Physical Education - Spanish
Personal, Social and Health Education - Religious Education
