Operation Encompass
At Stone Cross School we particiapte in Operation Encompass.
Operation Encompass is a joint operation with the police has been designed to provide early reporting to schools / colleges of any domestic abuse incidents that occur in which a child was present, ordinarily resides at the incident location or with an involved party. We know that children can be significantly affected through witnessing or being exposed to domestic abuse and this operation will allow us to better support our pupils and their families.

Securas Online Safeguarding in School
In school we have Securus installed to monitor all electronic activities both within and outside places of learning, ensuring that our children are safeguarded against the wide range of threats they face in this digital age. Any breaches of policy can be immediately identified and dealt with, enabling the promotion of lasting improvements in children's online behaviour as well as the safe and responsible use of new technology.

Setting up Internet filtering and parental controls
Children at Stone Cross School use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning. In school, we have regular 'e-safety' activities to remind children of the importance of keeping themselves safe online.
You can download and read our school's Online Safety Policy here.
At home, sometimes children can be given unsupervised access to the Internet. This, potentially, allows them to access all kinds of society (both good and bad) and bring them virtually into their homes.
Here are some useful tips and links to help you to keep your children safe online:
We would encourage parents to set up filtering on their home internet. To learn how to do this for the major providers of internet please click the text below.

We also suggest parents visit the website link below for up to date information on Facebook privacy settings, as whilst we know that no children under the age of 13 should be on Facebook, if they are then they should be educated as to how to ensure they are safe.
- CEOP
In school, children learn about online safety through a scheme of lessons along assemblies and workshops.
Our children know to report any inappropiate content, contact or conduct they encounter online to CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Agency) by visiting and clicking on our report button below.
CEOP also has a great website of information on online safety for parents / carers. Click here to access it.
