Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing

At Stone Cross School, we are committed to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing for all children. We recognise that good emotional wellbeing is essential for children to thrive both academically and socially.
Our dedicated staff work closely with pupils, families and external professionals to identify and address concerns at an early stage. We support children to develop emotional resilience, manage worries and anxieties, build confidence, and develop positive coping strategies that will help them throughout their lives.
We work collaboratively with children to understand and solve problems, providing a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels listened to, valued and supported. We also work alongside parents and carers, offering guidance and signposting to appropriate services when additional support is needed.
Where appropriate, we liaise with other agencies, including health professionals, educational psychologists and specialist support services, to ensure children and families receive the help they need. By working together, we aim to promote positive wellbeing, reduce barriers to learning, and help every child reach their full potential.
At Stone Cross School, we believe that mental health matters and that every child deserves the support they need to flourish.
